New School Year

I am looking forward to a new school year. After visiting with all four of my schools, I find that the teachers are more excited this year about team teaching and creating technology projects. This is accredited to the many projects that were done last year. Each year just keeps getting better and better. My schedule is filling up fast. Everyone who wants to do a project this year, jump on board before all the dates are taken!

End of the Year

I have had a wonderful year with all my schools. This week I will be doing a project with the 4th grade classes at BIES with Powerpoint and Avatars. They will be creating an avatar for an important person in history. Then I will finish the week with GPS and Skyping at MNES.

Next week I will be doing a project in Astronomy on Google Mars, Moon and Sky at SRHS. This is my final project of the year.

I would like to thank everyone for their cooperation and wonderful ideas!

I am really pleased about all the students, classrooms and teachers I have reached out to this year. We have skyped, blogged, podcasted, completed photostories, used audio drop boxes, used Smartboard and Smart Notebook 10, videoed, and did lit trips on Google Earth. In the next few weeks, we will continue with the podcasts, use flipcams, GPS, Google Mars, Sky and Moon, another lit trip and make powerpoints.

It has been a good year overall and there are plans for more projects next year. Here is looking forward to another good year next year.

The following is a photostory from one of my classes:

SRHS Happenings

I am really upbeat about all the projects that are planned for the rest of the school year at SRHS. We have a couple of teachers starting the audio dropbox in the foreign language classrooms. A couple more are starting blogs. Four teachers are going to be podcasting. A couple of teachers are using photostory and 1 teacher wants to try the museum box.

All it takes is one to get it started, talk it up to the other teachers and then more and more are on board. I am so excited about what we have accomplished at the high school level.
